Soren Kierkegaard wrote, “If I were a physician, and if I were allowed to prescribe just one remedy for all the ills of the modern world, I would prescribe silence. For even if the Word of God were proclaimed in the modern world, how could one hear it with so much noise? Therefore, create silence.”

He wrote that in the 1800s.

If he thought his world was noisy then, what would he think of our world now?

We’ve never had so much information, and so little meaning. So much connection, and so little fellowship.

Unplug. Go outside. Look at the trees, the birds, the sky.

Unplug. Read a book. Write a letter.

Unplug. Make something that requires hours of concentration.

Unplug. Listen for the voice of God.
