It’s been a very full year. A challenging year. A good year.
A mingling of heartache and unspeakable joy.
I thought I’d end the year with a brief post with some of this year’s highlights. Books, Food, Fam, you know, real things.

The best meal I ate was by a happy accident. We went to San Antonio for our family vacation. We meant to eat at the famous La Margarita–but were surprised to learn that they aren’t open on Tuesdays or Wednesdays. I was bummed, but thanks to the handy-dandy interwebs, I quickly learned that Rosarios would be worth the wait. It did not disappoint. I lived in Texas for nine years. I’ve tried lots of different Mexican Restaurants. This was not only the best meal of 2022, it was the best Mexican meal I’ve had in my entire life.
Things are going very well at Upland Community Church, where I serve as Associate Pastor. We’ve had some staffing changes this year, which are always a mingled experience: sadness to say goodbye to colleagues I’ve worked with for a long time; and joy to welcome new folks to our team. If you’re looking for a church home, I’d love to have you check us out.
Finally, the fam. The Lord has been so kind to us. I’m especially grateful for our church family and extended family. We’re experiencing It Takes a Village, and our hearts are full. Please continue to pray for us as we seek the Lord together.
