If you want beautiful music to fill your home–you have to be willing to put up with noisy practice.
My oldest children are reaching a level of proficiency that sounds enjoyable–they are learning the piano. (I can only imagine what it’s like to raise a budding drummer, string player, or member of the band.)
Can we patiently endure the learning curve? Can we maintain a supportive attitude when we’d rather have some peace and quiet? We’d love to skip the noise and go straight to the music. But that’s not how this works.
So, whatever learning curve you happen to be on–whatever learning curve your kids or employees happen to be on–whatever the noise, whatever the awkwardness, whatever the stumbling, bumbling, stuttering mess you’re struggling with today–hang in there, the music is coming.
