“Have confidence in the midst of your ignorance that ignorance does not matter, as long as you have learned where to find the information you need.” John D. Hannah

Ignorant overconfidence is a huge problem–one we see loudly expressed in the public square. On the other hand, there’s also a risk of being so intimidated by what we don’t know that we become mute, or paralyzed. A huge part of your ongoing education is learning what you don’t know, who your resource persons are, and how to access their expertise. Then confidently moving forward with your team.

If you need help identifying who these resource persons are, ask the wisest person you know who their “go-to” persons are in any given category. People love giving referrals.
